Jan Dulawa joined the Group in 2001 and assumed the position as Country Medical Director, first Gambro Healthcare Poland and currently Diaverum Poland.
He graduated in Medicine in 1978 and got his PhD in 1982. He is a specialist in internal medicine, nephrology, angiology and hypertensiology with extensive experience in endocrinology, geriatrics and medical ethics.
Since 1978 he has been worked as a researcher and academic teacher, being the author or co-author of many indexed publications and book-chapters. He is a member of editorial boards of several scientific journals and served as a dean of Medical Faculty (two terms) and vice-rector of Medical University of Silesia (two terms).
Since 2000 he has been the head of Department of Internal Medicine and Metabolic Diseases with Nephrology Unit. He is an active member of various scientific and specialist associations. He served as a board member of the Polish Society of Nephrology and Polish Society of Hypertension. Since 2020 he has been the Chairman of the Polish Society of Internal Medicine.
